Up for auction: an exceptional piece of 1980s modeling history—the legendary TCR (Total Control Racing) Slotrace L.1 "Super-2 Set" produced by Ideal. This vintage slotless system revolutionized the market thanks to the cars’ unique ability to change lanes to perform remote-controlled overtakes. KEY FEATURE: THE SET IS FULLY TESTED AND FUNCTIONAL. Unlike most vintage era relics with blocked motors, this circuit is ready to use: the cars run smoothly on the tracks and the controls respond promptly to lane changes. Contents and details of the set: • 2 original cars included: Lancia Stratos HF in official "Alitalia" livery (no. 38) and Porsche 930 Turbo in "Shell" livery (no. 18). Bodies and chassis in excellent cosmetic condition, complete with rear pinions and clean metallic pickup brushes. • Battery-powered: Includes the original "Super-Speed" control module powered by 4 torch batteries. The internal spring-loaded metal contacts are shiny, intact, and completely free of rust or old acid build-up. • Accessories and track: Complete tracks with tachometer elements, 2 remote controls (one white and one yellow with an intact cable), pylons for elevated sections, elastic white protective barriers, and the original banner decorated with the historic sponsors (Shell, Dunlop, TCR). Aesthetic conditions: The internal plastic components and the cars are excellent and clean. The original cardboard lid of the box shows evident signs of aging, edge wear, small tears, and old repairs with tape (faithfully reproduced in the attached photos). The inner styrofoam is intact.
