TEAC - A-2300SX Reel to reel deck 18 cm

A-2300SX – Stereo Reel-to-Reel Recorder (Vintage) The TEAC A-2300SX is a reference stereo reel-to-reel recorder from 1970s Japanese production, designed with criteria of high mechanical stability and high-fidelity analog playback. Appreciated by audiophiles and collectors, it represents one of the most successful examples of TEAC’s construction philosophy in the consumer/semi-professional segment of the era. The model uses a three-motor transport system, with precise tape tension control and separation of the recording, playback, and erase functions via dedicated heads. Mechanical construction is solid, with a rigid chassis and an internal layout designed to reduce vibrations and tracking instability. Condition of the unit This particular unit presents in excellent cosmetic condition, kept for a long time exclusively on static display (showcase) and used in an extremely limited way. • Very well-preserved aesthetics, with no visible signs of wear • Front panel, knobs and VU meters in overall excellent condition • No apparent modifications or tampering • Mechanically in order and functioning normally during tests Functionality The unit has been tested and is operational in its main functions: - Play - Fast Forward - Rewind - Recording Important note The device is supplied without a power cord, as it has been preserved exclusively as a display piece. For this reason the cord is not included in the original equipment. Technical specifications (highlights) Configuration: 4 tracks / 2 stereo channels Transport system: 3 motors Separate heads for REC / PLAY / ERASE Tape speeds: 3¾ ips and 7½ ips Compatible reels: up to 7" Dimensions and weight Width: 440 mm Height: 392 mm Depth: 210 mm Weight: approximately 18 kg Collector’s note A TEAC reel-to-reel recorder of this series is highly prized among vintage audio collectors, thanks to the combination of mechanical reliability, warm analog sound, and the build quality typical of Japanese engineering of the era. PLEASE NOTE/ The reels that may be visible in the photographs are used solely for illustrative purposes and are not included in the sale.
