Teppaz - Oscar Portable Vacuum Tube Suitcase Record player

Teppaz Oscar model (first version) in excellent preserved condition, serviced and working. Vintage suitcase-style turntable with built-in tube amplifier, produced in Lyon from 1958. This model helped shape the youth CULTURE of the 1960s and European Space Age design. Characteristics: - Four-speed platter (33-45-78-16) with automatic motor stop at the end of the record, Teppaz Eco reversible piezoelectric cartridge with two styli, one for listening to microgroove records and the other for 78s. - Amplifier with two valves (UY85-UCL82), tone and volume control, speaker integrated into the lid of the suitcase. Esthetically it is in excellent condition; only minor signs of time that certify its authenticity are present. All period adornments are present, including the rare original golden badge "Teppaz" on the tonearm (pickup). The distinctive red rubber mat is intact and soft, the power cord and plug are original, the brown velvety covering of the cooling grille is intact. The valve amplifier has been serviced with replacement of critical capacitors to ensure clean, hum-free listening. The mechanics have been lubricated and, thanks to the pulley remaining soft and perfect, the speeds are constant. The original reversible cartridge has both styli in excellent condition. This turntable is particularly well suited for listening to 50s and 60s records: the sound is truly excellent, considering the size and class of the device. Note: The vinyl records visible in the photos are used solely for illustrative purposes and are not included in the auction. Shipping cost includes professional packaging and insurance.
