Tessitura Vay Torino – Elegante Cotone Pesante per...

I would set this up as a large purely cotton upholstery fabric, giving real weight to the 3 meters in height: 570 × 300 cm equals 17.1 m² of fabric, and for grand drapery that’s a selling point. The color in the photos I would describe as terracotta / warm brick red, not just red. Description Catawiki ESPRIT – Weaving Vay Torino – Large pure cotton upholstery fabric – cm 570 × 300 Splendid and substantial upholstery fabric from ESPRIT, produced by Tessitura Vay Torino, a historic Italian textile manufacturer, offered in a magnificent terracotta / warm brick red tone, elegant, natural and particularly easy to integrate into both contemporary interiors and more classical contexts. What immediately catches the eye is the beautiful dense, tactile weave of the pure cotton. When viewed up close, the fabric reveals a tight, regular weave that gives it character and substance, while still offering a pleasant hand and a gorgeous drape. This is not a light cotton: it is a heavyweight cotton specifically designed for upholstery, sturdy and structured, capable of creating full, substantial folds. A particularly interesting feature for making large draperies, where the fabric must have presence and fall gracefully without looking poor or insubstantial. The color is one of its strengths: a refined terracotta tone, warm and enveloping, with nuances that can recall brick red and Mediterranean terracotta. The slightly matte surface absorbs and returns light with great naturalness, creating delicate variations in the folds without glossy or artificial effects. Close-up photographs show well the quality and regularity of the weave, while images of the fabric draped allow one to appreciate its body and the softness of its fall. A truly substantial size The lot is offered in a single large cut of 485 × 300 cm. The exceptional height of 300 cm makes it particularly interesting for full-height drapery, allowing work on large surfaces and important windows with great design freedom. Thanks to its structure and the considerable quantity available, it can be used for substantial draperies, large decorative panels, cushions, light upholstery, headboards, fabric screens, wall decorations and numerous interior design projects. A versatile fabric with a strong presence, ideal for those seeking the natural feel of 100% cotton combined with a dense weave and a warm color capable of immediately characterizing an environment.
