The Flute Player ('Het Uilespiegeltje') Rembrandt Harmensz. van Rijn

A very fine impression of the final state, with touches of burr in the dark passages around the woman’s hat, and with the face formerly visible in the tree burnished out and replaced by shading. With thread margins. – The sheet slightly toned with age, predominantly along the edges. A minute repair at the upper left edge. An old crease in the lower left corner. Verso with some brown spotting and traces and remnants of a previous mounting; with slight areas of paper thinning in the right margin on the reverse. Otherwise in good condition. | 1606 Leiden - Amsterdam 1669 | 15.-18. Jahrhundert | Druckgrafik | Nummer: 26x1697
