The Geometry of Elsewhere-Beyond the Arch - JIAN MA

The Geometry of Elsewhere-Beyond the Arch by JIAN MA Painting 24.0 x 32.0 :: Beyond the Arch invites the viewer into a sunlit courtyard where rose-pink walls and a pale arch frame a distant blue sea. A vacant chair a bowl of lemons and the shadows of foliage suggest a human presence just beyond view. Through simplified architectural forms and broad fields of colour Jane M. transforms a familiar setting into an emotional space suspended between arrival and absence. The arch becomes a threshold between the intimacy of everyday life and the openness of the horizon.
