The Young Drummer Boy. European School. 19th Century.

Descriptio Patinated bronze on a green marble base. Dimensions: 30 x 10 x 10 cm. The figure of a cherub is presented in a dynamic pose, holding a drum in one hand and a drumstick in the other, in the midst of musical action. The modeling of the curls, wings, and face denotes delicate craftsmanship, while the light posture and compositional rhythm give the work a sense of movement. The contrast between the dark bronze and the polished marble underscores the refinement of the ensemble. This piece embodies the grace and playful spirit of 19th-century European decorative sculpture, influenced by the late Neoclassical style. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed.
