All auctions / Toys & Collectables / Themed collection - Ceramiche di Caltagirone
Refined and eclectic collection composed of 7 sculptures and figures in polychrome majolica ceramic, entirely crafted and hand-painted according to the oldest tradition of the ceramic masters of Caltagirone (Sicily). The lot stands out for the presence of famous artist signatures and historic local workshops that attest to its authenticity and artisanal merit: Main sculpture – Scenic Bird: An imposing slender figure characterized by vibrant acanthus-scroll motifs inspired by Baroque. Artist signature G. Garofalo on the base. Dimensions: Height 28 cm × Width ~10 cm × Depth 13 cm. Set of 6 Animal Miniatures: Finely sculpted figures hand-painted, including a rabbit with blue floral decoration signed I. Cabibbo, a snail and a fish signed G. Dolce, a small bird with the original label from the Cielo e Terra manufactory, and two other decorative critters. Dimensions: Heights and widths vary for the miniatures (from about 4 cm to 8 cm). Conditions: All pieces are in excellent original conservation conditions, with no cracks, restorations, or obvious chipping (please refer to the rich photo gallery for aesthetic details and signatures). An ideal lot for collectors of Italian art majolica, Sicilian designer ceramics, or to enrich interiors with a refined and Mediterranean taste. Careful, trackable shipping with professional protective packaging.
