Themed collection - Sprattelguggen (Pantin) wooden vintage marionette. - Sevi

Lot of 9 Sprattelguggen (pantins/suspended tumblers) Vintage in Wood. Splendid and heterogeneous lot composed of 9 Sprattelguggen (pantin / suspended entertainers) vintage, entirely handcrafted in wood and hand-painted. These fascinating artisanal puppets, typical of the Central European and Alpine tradition, began both as traditional toys and as decorative features for the Christmas tree. The lot includes several collectible subjects, among which the famous and historic Sevi-branded models (Val Gardena, Italy) stand out, such as the central harlequin girl with the characteristic green and blue diamond motif and the pair in traditional outfits (Dirndl and Lederhosen) that bear no brand mark. Other characters include Pinocchio, a little soldier, and several colorful folkloric figures. By pulling the lower cord equipped with a wooden ball, the internal string mechanism makes the arms and legs of the characters rise simultaneously in a playful way. Details and Features: Material: Fine carved wood, assembled with metal joints/pins and hand-painted. Estimated period: Second half of the 20th century (circa ’70s / ’80s). Origin: Italy (production Val Gardena / Sevi) and European artisanal manufacture. Authenticity Marks: On the back of one piece there is the iconic vintage Sevi sticker/logo, which formally certifies the manufacture and the historical nature for brand collectors. Dimensions: Heights vary and are visible in the gallery photographs. Aesthetic and structural condition: The items are presented in overall good vintage condition, with the normal and charming signs of time and use. The pull mechanisms are functional and the strings are integrated. For maximum accuracy and fairness to the buyer, the following details are noted: The medium-sized character (Pinocchio) is missing the small protruding wooden nose. The large central puppet is missing the fabric pigtails originally attached to the sides of the head. There are light and normal superficial signs of wear, and the brand sticker is partially worn due to time, all as clearly shown in the dedicated photo gallery. Please review the photo gallery carefully, as it is an integral part of the description, to observe the factory marks and the actual condition of each piece.
