Contents: see photo 3. Beautiful edition with a great many illustrations (see photos). Excellent condition. "A journey in words and images to the world's most legendary furniture company: the new book *Essence 01* from Thonet. Craftsmanship combined with advanced production technology; timelessness paired with a modern formal language; a collection of exceptional furniture classics that is continually enriched with contemporary designs by renowned makers; and finally a family business with a long, eventful history that looks to the future with determination and vision—that is Thonet. At this world-famous furniture brand, seemingly opposing values meld into a harmonious whole, and that is precisely what makes Thonet unique. The first part of *Essence 01* is devoted to the history and identity of Thonet. Through visual material, the book invites the reader to discover the fascinating world of the company heritage and production processes. These processes strikingly show how Thonet combines a deep love of detail in every piece of furniture with the highest quality standards. A second part contains a product catalog presenting the complete range for both residential and project markets—again illustrated with powerful, atmospheric photography. Statements by important designers who collaborate with Thonet round off this part. The varied layout is supplemented by inspiring quotes from famous philosophers, actors, and artists who have been as influential in their field as Thonet has been in the design world. The strength of the book’s message is aided by the photography of Michael Gerlach, Achim Hatzius, Constantin Meyer, and Mirko Krizanovic—photographers who have been accompanying Thonet for many years. Carefully packed and shipped with tracking and insurance. Good luck with your bidding!!
