This group consists of three ceramic items featuring designs by Eric Ravilious for Wedgwood. The first item is a double-handled soup bowl, or bouillon cup, with a matching saucer in the Persephone pattern. These earthenware pieces feature a transfer-printed Harvest Festival border composed of overlapping concentric circles in black and light blue. The saucer features a stylized central motif of fish and wheat. The bases are marked PERSEPHONE / DESIGNED BY / RAVILIOUS / OF ETRURIA / WEDGWOOD / MADE IN / ENGLAND / & BARLASTON, accompanied by small hand-painted marks in orange and blue and a Rubin Collection sticker. The second item is a bone china mug from the Wedgwood Museum Designers Collection featuring the Travel pattern. The cylindrical mug is decorated with transfer-printed vignettes adapted from wood engravings by Ravilious, including a steam locomotive emerging from a tunnel and a sailing vessel. The top rim is finished with a blue festooned border. The base is marked WEDGWOOD MUSEUM / Designers Collection / Eric Ravilious - Travel, followed by a descriptive text block regarding the artist and the pattern's production history, and MADE IN STOKE-ON-TRENT / ENGLAND.
