Three hairpins, Mossi, Burkina Faso, 19th-20th centuries

Descriptio Copper alloy. Measurements: 15, 16, and 17 cm in length. Set of three ornamental pins made of copper alloy, with an elongated structure and stylized, geometric decorative finials. The pieces exhibit handcrafted workmanship linked to the Mossi metalworking tradition, with slender profiles and slight variations in form. The surface retains a dark patina with greenish and earthy tones, as well as oxidation and irregularities characteristic of the metal alloy and the passage of time. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist. You may request additional information before placing a bid. This does not affect the buyer’s statutory rights.
