CUTLERY SET in silver consisting of twelve forks, twelve knives with metal blades, twelve spoons, twelve forks and twelve knives with metal blades for fruit, twelve forks and twelve cheese knives, twelve teaspoons, twelve spoons for cooked fruit, one shell spoon and six serving pieces: four forks, one pierced and one with rounded tines, a pair of spoons. Handles contoured with engraved vine leaves. Initials incised, several missing on some pieces. Contained in a wooden case on one shelf and two pull-out drawers marked Reed & Barton. Tiffany & Co., America, 1909-1947, approx. 5700 g (calculate about 30 g for the handles of the meat knives; about 20 g for the handles of the fruit knives). The hallmarking pattern falls in the interval 1907-1947 (on some pieces of difficult decipherment the initial of Tiffany’s president). The St. Dunstan pattern, first produced in 1909 (Pat. 1909), is reproduced in Charles H. Carpenter, Jr. with Mary Grace Carpenter, Tiffany silver, London, 1979, p. 115, no. 151
