Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1880. Straight sides with curved shoulder and s-scroll handle; short and straight neck with lip spout. Spot-hammered ground with applied ornament: meandering leafing branches and tendrils and pendant mokumé gourds. Large dragonfly with bulging exophthalmic eyes and a couple discreetly darting butterflies. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern no. 3859, and phrase “Sterling-Silver / — And — / Other-Metals”. Very good condition. Dimensions: H 8 1/8 x W 6 1/2 x D 4 3/4 in. Heavy gross weight: 34.4 troy ounces. #CD929
