Tinmouth, Vermont. Treasurer's Office. March 3, 1787 5 Pounds, 15

Tinmouth, Vermont. Treasurer's Office. March 3, 1787 5 Pounds, 15 Shillings, 4 Pence. PMG Choice Extremely Fine 45. No. 42. A fine counterpoint to the Colonial-era pieces issued under the emission dated 1781. This Treasury Certificate issued by the State of Vermont has been graded Choice Extremely Fine 45 by the likes of PMG and offers a particularly pleasing sight for the grade assigned where the "Pinholes" mentioned by PMG should be of little concern to the specialist. The penned signature of Treasurer Samuel Mattlocks who held the position from 1786 to 1800 may also be noticed at right and speaks to a distinct level of originality that should readily impress. PMG comments "Pinholes." Estimate: $1,500 - $2,500. Click here for certification details from PMG.
