Lot of 2 Tintin albums in an early edition (The Black Island & Tintin in Tibet) - Signed by Jean-Pierre Talbot ("Tintin") + Rare, previously unpublished page 37bis! Description: [NL] Beautiful and unique set of two classic French-language Tintin albums (Casterman) with a very special film-historical background. Both albums are personally signed by Jean-Pierre Talbot, the legendary actor who portrayed Tintin in the live-action feature films Le Mystère de la Toison d'Or (1961) and Les Oranges Bleues (1964). Jean-Pierre Talbot was also the first and only Tintin actor. With the signatures ("Bien amicalement, Tintin") there is also his exclusive, characteristic Tintin & Bob-jan stamp. Included in this lot: L’Île Noire (Casterman) - Early reprint (1950s/60s), French-speaking. With red spine. Interior in nice condition with signature/stamp on the title page. Tintin au Tibet (Casterman) - Very early edition / First edition (1960s/1961), French-speaking. With red spine. Signed on the title page. Planche Inédite 37bis (Attachment) - An extremely rare and sought-after loose reproduction page with accompanying French-language explanation. This concerns the legendary page (full of jokes where Captain Haddock is harassed by his own distress signals) that Hergé had to cut when the story from the weekly Journal Tintin (63 pages) was converted to the Casterman album format (62 pages). Condition: Both albums are in a beautiful, gently used vintage condition (see photos for an accurate impression of the corners, spines, and interior). No major tears, highly collectible due to the unique signatures and the rare attachment.
