The glass is scratch-free. The date quick-set operates cleanly and flawlessly. Overall, the watch presents itself in a very clean and well-kept state. Important note on operation: Time-setting for this model is done via a special setting system and differs significantly from a conventional wristwatch. The new owner should familiarize themselves with the correct operating procedure before use. Interested parties who are not familiar with this model or the setting system should inform themselves accordingly before placing a bid. Improper operation should be avoided. Origin: From a collector Important information: All watches are offered without a minimum price; the final sale price is determined by the highest bid. Each watch is equipped with a brand-new battery before sale and tested for at least one week to check its function. A guarantee of accuracy, consistent timekeeping, and water resistance cannot be provided. Notes: Technically, the watch has been tested and functions perfectly. All photos are unedited and taken with a macro lens to present the actual condition as honestly and in as much detail as possible. The pictures are part of the description. Description: Characteristic Tissot Seastar Quartz from the 1970s and an interesting example from the early Swiss quartz era. The dial shows a pronounced color shift and appears, depending on the light, deep dark blue to almost black. Applied baton hour markers, a date window at 3 o’clock, and the distinctive cushion-shaped stainless steel case give the typical 1970s look. Of particular interest is the early Tissot quartz caliber 2030 with its unusual setting system: the hour hand as well as the minute/second hands are adjusted in different ways via the crown. Caliber 2030 belongs to the early Tissot-in-house quartz movements and was produced only for a short period.
