Toilet set (2) - Rara Coppia di Scatole Porta-Cipria in...

A fascinating and refined pair of round powder boxes (or jewelry boxes) made with the traditional Chinese cloisonné enamel technique, dating from the first half of the 20th century (Republic Period). This pair stands out for the exceptional vividness of the colors and the meticulous workmanship of the details in gilded copper wire, which create geometric and floral motifs of great elegance: - First box (Open in the photo): Features a blue/azure background lid decorated with a large white chrysanthemum softly shaded and details in green and yellow. The interior is entirely enameled in a splendid turquoise blue shade, typical of fine Asian production. - Second box (Closed in the photo): Characterized by a beige/gold background enriched by a dense honeycomb pattern, on which rises a majestic pink and white peony with green leaves. The base is finished with a blue geometric motif band. Features and Condition: - Material: Cloisonné enamel on a copper/brass alloy base. - Dimensions: Pocket/collectible size (ideal for display cases). - Conditions: Excellent vintage overall, consistent with the age. The enamels are glossy and the colors vivid. They show only very slight signs of wear that attest to their authenticity and historical charm (please examine the detailed photos carefully). A perfect set for collectors of Oriental art, Chinese antiques, or as elements of absolute luxury and elegance for refined interiors.
