Tokina SD 11-16mm f/2.8 AT-X PRO DX II [IF] – Nikon F / AF-S Zoomlens

Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX II 11-16mm f/2.8 [IF] – Nikon F / AF-S Very beautiful and excellently maintained Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX II 11-16mm f/2.8 [IF] for Nikon, complete with original lens hood, front and rear lens caps, and B+W protective filter. A particularly interesting ultra-wide zoom for the Nikon photographer. The Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX II belongs to the professional AT-X PRO series and combines an extremely wide field of view with a constant f/2.8 aperture. The lens is no longer in production, making a well-kept specimen like this an attractive addition for both the photographer and the enthusiast of high-quality Nikon F lenses. Condition The lens is in very neat condition with only minimal signs of use. The black body is well-kept and shows only light traces consistent with careful use. The inscriptions and control rings are neat and clearly legible. There are no significant cosmetic damages that disturb the attractive overall appearance. The lens makes a solid and professional impression, entirely fitting the high-quality AT-X PRO series. Optics The optics are in very neat and clear condition. The front element is additionally protected by a B+W protective filter, providing extra shielding of the original front element against dust, fingerprints, and minor damage during use. The optical design consists of 13 elements in 11 groups, with aspherical elements and Super-Low Dispersion glass. Tokina developed this optical design with an eye toward high sharpness and contrast while correcting optical aberrations and distortion as well as possible. The constant maximum aperture of f/2.8 makes this lens particularly suitable for low-light photography and for creating a pronounced perspective. Mechanical Zoom and focus mechanisms operate smoothly and accurately. Thanks to the internal focusing (IF), the physical length of the lens does not change during focusing. Tokina’s characteristic One-Touch Focus Clutch makes it possible to switch directly between autofocus and manual focus. The Nikon version of the DX II is equipped with an internal quiet AF motor, allowing autofocus on Nikon DSLR cameras without an internal AF drive. Accessories The lot is complete with: Original Tokina lens hood Original front lens cap Original rear lens cap B+W protective filter The original Tokina lens hood for this model is the BH-77B. The B+W protective filter included is a valuable addition for daily use and helps keep the front lens of the lens extra protected while shooting.
