Ton Schulten (1937-2025) - Kleurrijk stadsgezicht

Ton Schulten — Colorful Cityscape Oil on canvas | 130 × 200 cm Circa 1992-93 The original invoice from 1994 is available from the Ton Schulten gallery. Shipping can be arranged after the auction. In this monumental painting, Ton Schulten creates a tranquil cityscape where color, rhythm and architecture come together. Deep blue and purple tones alternate with bright turquoise, pink and warm orange. The stylized houses, roofs and passages form a rich composition that reveals new details each time. A special element is the small human figure in the gate, to the right of center. This rare (to the extent known, only this painting) appearance within Schulten's work gives the cityscape an intimate and narrative character. The modest little figure forms a subtle yet powerful focal point between the monumental color fields. With its generous size and pronounced colors, this is an impressive work that gives a sense of space. The work can be viewed by appointment. Shipping can be arranged after the auction. #exceptionalart26
