All auctions / Ethnographical / TOP! Realgar with incredible crystals & pyromorphite...

Realgar formation typically occurs in low-temperature hydrothermal veins alongside arsenic- and antimony-bearing minerals. Volcanic sublimations and hot spring deposits also contribute to its creation. It is frequently found in association with orpiment, arsenolite, calcite, and barite. Its presence is known in lead-, silver-, and gold-bearing minerals in regions such as Hungary, Bohemia, and Saxony. There are significant deposits in the United States, including Mercur, Utah; Manhattan, Nevada; and in the geyser deposits of Yellowstone National Park. It is interesting to note that prolonged exposure to light can transform Realgar into a yellow powder, initially mistaken for orpiment but now identified as paraRealgar.
