Toshiro Mifune - Adventure in Kigan Castle - Original...

Original Thai movie poster for the Japanese adventure film Adventure in Kigan Castle / The Adventures of Takla Makan, released by Toho / Mifune Productions in the 1960s. The poster features a superb painted composition with a strong adventure/fantasy atmosphere: desert landscapes, warriors, castle architecture, sword imagery and dramatic action scenes. The visual style is highly decorative and typical of vintage Thai cinema poster art, with vivid colours and an expressive illustrated layout. This is not a modern reproduction. The poster shows period offset printing, visible fold lines and age-related paper patina consistent with an original theatrical poster from the 1960s. A particularly interesting piece for collectors of: * vintage Asian cinema posters * Thai movie posters * Japanese cinema * Toho productions * Toshiro Mifune-related memorabilia * 1960s adventure and fantasy films Film details Film: Adventure in Kigan Castle / The Adventures of Takla Makan Original Japanese title: 奇巌城の冒険 Thai release poster: original Thai theatrical poster Production: Toho / Mifune Productions Country of film: Japan Year: 1966 Main actor: Toshiro Mifune Genre: adventure / historical fantasy / action Poster details Country of poster: Thailand Period: 1960s Technique: offset lithographic printing Dimensions: approx. 54.5 × 78.5 cm Condition: good vintage condition Format: folded, as issued Condition report The poster is in good overall vintage condition.
