"Traum des Staatshemorrhoidarius" (Dream of the State Hemorrhoidarius)

The core of the illustrated story "Staatshämorrhoidarius", which Franz von Pocci published in the Fliegende Blätter from 1845, lies in the satirical examination of officialdom and bureaucracy. In an exaggerated manner, a civil servant is depicted who - based on real or imagined complaints in the gastrointestinal tract - qualifies as a "state haemorrhoidarius" and thus completes the grotesque ascent in the administrative apparatus. - Horizontal crease. Individual faint stains. In good condition. | 1807 - München - 1876 | 19. Jahrhundert | Arbeiten auf Papier | Nummer: 25x1928 | Provenance: Privatsammlung, Süddeutschland.
