Tray (2) - Historist/Costumbrist - .925 silver

Small platters of Spanish sterling silver (.925), decorated with relief in a historicist/folk-art style. Both pieces depict scenes of traditional costumbrismo inspired by Dutch art or European Baroque of the 17th century, but adapted to 20th-century decorative silverware. They are produced using a repoussé/punching technique with chiseling on silver sheet, mounted on edges with octagonal or beveled profiles. This type of mini platters was typically made for commemorative gifts or miniature silverware collecting. Please pay special attention to the photographs as they form part of the description. Dimensions per unit: 6.2 cm long x 5.2 cm wide. Total weight: 72 g.
