The central panel features a bas-relief of a leaping gazelle or antelope moving through stylized leaves and vegetation. Origin: France. Object features: • Style: Genuine Art Deco. This is clearly visible in the clean, geometric design of the side handles and the stylized, dynamic portrayal of the animal and nature. Leaping gazelles were an iconic and widely used motif within this art movement. • Material: Made of solid wood (often oak or walnut) with a refined, detailed texture in the background. Finished with a glass plate. • Function: A luxurious serving or drinks tray. Such antique trays were originally often equipped with a protective glass plate over the carving to protect the wood from stains, as is the case here. Dimensions: 25,5 cm x 52 cm. Condition: in good condition with minimal signs of use. Photos are part of the description. These were taken under artificial light; color may vary. Mood impressions are shown. It is well packaged and shipped by registered mail. Jiljes where quality and service come first!
