Tri-ang - Toy car Jeep No.1 - 1950-1960 - U.K.

Lot description: Offered a wonderful piece of British toy history: an authentic tin U.S. Army Jeep No. 1 with clockwork motor (wind-up mechanism), produced in the 1950s by Lines Bros. Ltd. under the legendary Tri-ang Minic brand name (Model 78M). The model is finished in original army green and is equipped with the original military insignia and the serial number 2068315-S on the hood. Unique for the age is that both the loose jerrycan and the spare wheel at the back are still fully present. Condition of the item: • Model: In excellent, original vintage condition. Very light and normal signs of aging on the paint. The wheels and axles are intact. Mechanism operation unknown, key missing. • Packaging: Includes the very scarce original red illustrated cardboard box. The box is in neat and sturdy condition with clear prints and all flaps present. A sought-after and valuable collectible for enthusiasts of mechanical tin toys and military miniatures!
