Trumansburg, New York. Bank of Trumansburg. 1863 $1. PMG Choice Fine 15.

Trumansburg, New York. Bank of Trumansburg. 1863 $1. PMG Choice Fine 15. No. 1758. Plate A. A great rarity for the Obsolete specialist. This well-circulated, but highly attractive $1 Obsolete issued by the Bank of Trumansburg during the 1860s represents an excessively rare survivor for a bank that recorded roughly $1,000 outstanding in 1870 per available records. Now that figure arguably paints a more optimistic picture regarding survival than what can be gleaned from auction records. This same note represents the only two records we can find for this excessively rare bank and those records date to 2011 and 2009 making this an impeccable offering among the many afforded to collectors by the Caine Collection. Estimate: $1,000 - $1,500. Provenance: From the Caine Collection. Click here for certification details from PMG.

Estimate:£448.61
