A very beautiful fossil tooth (Nanotyrannus lancensis) !!!! Family: Tyrannosauridae Formation: Hell Creek Formation Location: Harding County, South Dakota, USA Geological period: Late Cretaceous Geological stage: Maastrichtian (67 to 66 million years ago) Tooth measurement: 1.41 inches straight-line - (3.5814 cm) This is an excellent Tyrannosaurus tooth recovered in our partner's private collection in Carter County Debate: 1) Nanotyrannus versus T-Rex (teeth longer, thinner and more compressed with a pinched base are labeled as Nanotyrannus). 2) Larger teeth with a rounder tip and without a pinch at the base are labeled T-Rex, scientifically proven !!!! No restoration - no repair. Very beautiful Nanotyrannosaurus fossil tooth for the collector. The teeth on the distal and mesial edges are excellent. Certificate of authenticity included. 3D floating frame included.
