North America, Western United States, Late Cretaceous, ca. 68 to 65.5 million years ago. A fossilized tooth from Tyrannosaurus rex. The tooth retains its conical form and serrated edge, and the tip exhibits wear facets, flat, polished surfaces created during the animal's life through bone-crushing and shearing while feeding. These wear patterns provide evidence of the bite forces and bone-processing behavior associated with T. rex. Size: 2.3" L x 0.9" W (5.8 cm x 2.3 cm); 6" H (15.2 cm) on included custom stand.
