Very handsome Limited Edition U-boat Left Hook Chronograph from around 2005 by Italo Fontana. Type U-0048 no. 0281 / 1000 -. The case is 48mm, excluding the signed crown on the left side (-.. left-hook). The case is entirely stainless 18/10 steel and the dial is completely cream-colored with black indices and hands. Also -nice detail!- the dial has “dots.” It has three subdials - 60min, small seconds and 12h. ONLY the small second is working. The chronograph is cleanly reset, but is not currently in working order! The watch is water resistant to 50m (= swimming - stated - no guarantees). The strap is a sturdy, thick black leather strap with original U-boat lugs and deployment clasp. This is 20cm wide and suitable for a wrist circumference up to certainly 20cm. The strap is used but still wearable. This U-boat shows only a few signs of use - only a couple of very light scratches on the steel, etc. (optically about 8.5/10). It runs fine on time and the glass has been replaced. Fully without scratches now! Overall it is, above all, a very rugged watch! Especially these rare Limited Edition models are highly sought after!
