All auctions / Arts & Graphics / Udo Lindenberg (1946) - Panische Zeiten - Special Edition...
For sale: an exquisitly framed, personally signed art card by Panic President Udo Lindenberg. This expressive collectible features the official front photo selected for the elaborately restored DVD release (Special Edition) of his legendary cult film “Panische Zeiten” in September 2005. The iconic portrait was shot by the renowned Hamburg photographer Tine Acke, who has been documenting the artist’s work for many years. * Artist: Udo Lindenberg * Motif: “Panische Zeiten” (Special Edition) * Photographer: Tine Acke, 2005 * Object type: Framed art card * Signature: Hand-signed by Udo Lindenberg * Framing: High-quality white aluminum frame (Format: 18 x 24 cm) * Mat: White, acid-free bevel-cut mat (thickness: 1.4 mm), mounted with acid-free adhesive tape * Glazing: Anti-reflective glass * Condition: Flawless, like-new condition and ready to hang The photograph bridges to a milestone in German rock and film history: On April 17, 1980, Udo Lindenberg’s political satire “Panische Zeiten” celebrated its cinema premiere. In the comedy, Lindenberg himself directed and played a dual role. The film possessed great social relevance and, in addition to performances by the Pan Orchestra and artists such as Karl Dall, even featured a cameo by then-Juso leader Gerhard Schröder. In 2005 the work was digitally remastered and re-released in the official Signature Collection – exactly from this phase comes this striking motif. A historically grounded, artist-signed piece of time history for any discerning music and art collection!
