This collection offers a fascinating look at the transitional period after the fall of the Soviet Union. It includes both official post-Soviet state decorations from Ukraine and highly sought, unofficial neo-Soviet commemorative medals from the late 1990s. 1). 60 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (2005) - Official Ukrainian state issue for WWII veterans. Complete with certificate bearing the original stamps and the (printed) signature of President Viktor Yushchenko. Serial number: Серія ПУ № 0131104. 2). 80 Years of the Great Socialist October Revolution (1997) - Rare and historic 'Umalatova' medal with beautiful red cloisonné enamel. Issued by the unofficial Permanent Presidium of the USSR after the fall of the Soviet Union. Signed by Sazji Umalatova. 3). 60 Years of Liberation of Ukraine from Fascist Occupiers (2004) - Official Ukrainian commemorative medal. The obverse features a highly detailed image of a soldier and the Saint Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv. Includes certificate with the signature of President Leonid Kuchma. Serial number: Серия ВУ № 399799. 4). 80 Years of the VLKSM / Komsomol Communist Youth League (1998) - A second sought-after 'Umalatova' issue with Lenin's golden profile. The reverse displays the 6 historic Soviet orders. Complete with the accompanying red USSR award booklet.
