Two Skyline coat hooks and a jewelry holder: three items by UMBRA Design, Canada, from the 1980s/1990s. Plastic, Perspex, metal. Two designer wall-mounted coat hooks by Umbra. A striking design inspired by the skyline of a large city. In this skyline, the five tallest buildings are subtly incorporated as fold-out hooks to which coats, towels, scarves, etc. can be hung. Each hook can carry 2.3 kilograms. The coat hooks are made of molded plastic, based on a design by Helen T. Miller and Tracy Wong. The UMBRA coat rack is 50 cm wide, 23 cm deep and 15 cm high. An exceptionally original jewelry holder, also by Umbra, rendered in transparent Perspex with a metal core. Design by Alan Wisniewski. The ‘branches’ with two little birds on them are rotatable around the stand, so there is space for all jewelry. On the slightly hollow Perspex tray there is room for rings, earrings, cufflinks, etc. Tray diameter 15 cm, height 36 cm.
