Uncut Sheet of (4) Milwaukee, Territory of Wisconsin. Bank of Milwaukee.

Uncut Sheet of (4) Milwaukee, Territory of Wisconsin. Bank of Milwaukee. 18xx $5-$5-$10-$20. PMG Very Fine 25. Remainders. No. None. Plate A/B. An important and seldom offered sheet from the Territory of Wisconsin. This particular piece is attributable to the first iteration of the Bank of Milwaukee which never opened owing to a disagreement between two different Boards of Directors. Very few pieces are attributable to this institution which is largely attested to by Proofs and individual Remainders. This sheet shows evidence of being folded at some point in the distant past for storage purposes demonstrated by a number of horizontal and vertical folds at various points throughout the combined paper body which are collectively responsible for a numerical grade of "25." Yet this remains an exceedingly rare prospect at any grade level and one unlikely to be offered in the near future barring the consignment of a nice collection of Wisconsin Obsoletes. PMG comments "Internal Split." Estimate: $800 - $1,200. Click here for certification details from PMG.

Estimate:£358.89
