All auctions / Medals, Arms & Armour / United Kingdom and Germany - Lot of 2 Atlas watches –...
A lot consisting of two Atlas watches in aviator style, inspired by the watches and navigation instruments used by air forces during World War II. The lot brings together two different designs, one inspired by the British Royal Air Force (RAF) and another by German aviation, associated with Erprobungs-Gruppe 210. Both watches reproduce the characteristic aesthetic of 1940s military aviation watches: highly legible dials, Arabic numerals, and a sober, functional design. Important: these are modern, commemorative character replicas. They are not original World War II military watches. Watch 1 – Atlas 41 mm – German aviator style / Erprobungs-Gruppe 210 Case diameter: 41 mm Movement: quartz Dial: black, with large Arabic numerals for easy reading Crystal: mineral Strap: vintage-style leather Clasp: classic buckle Condition: new, never worn Accessories: original box and documentation The included documentation provides historical and contextual information about aviation military watches of World War II and serves as a complement to the design of this modern edition. Watch 2 – Atlas 39 mm – RAF WWII Aviator Style Case diameter: 39 mm Movement: quartz Dial: white, with large Arabic numerals and excellent legibility Crystal: mineral Strap: vintage-style leather Clasp: classic buckle Condition: new, never worn Accessories: original box and certificate This second model is inspired by the aesthetic of watches used by the British Royal Air Force during World War II, with a clear dial and a classic aviator design.
