The obverse features the bare portrait of the monarch looking to the left, by Edgar Bertram Mackennal, executed in a realistic and sober style characteristic of early 20th-century British coinage. The reverse shows the crowned royal shield with the heraldic emblems of England, Scotland and Ireland, flanked by crowns and accompanied by the denomination HALF CROWN, in a balanced composition rich in symbolism. The specimen retains an attractive original lustre with subtle silver tones and slight golden hues, with crisp reliefs and well-preserved fields. Small surface marks and minor contact marks typical of a coin graded MS63 are visible, without significantly affecting its overall visual appeal. This issue belongs to the last full year of minting of George V before the 1936 succession crisis, which gives it additional historical interest within modern British numismatics.
