United States of America - US WWII half-tent shelter...

Original tent 1942 stamped (last photo very difficult to read) including 3 correct tent poles (1967 stamped) Nice used condition. A US shelter half tent (commonly also called a pup tent) is an iconic piece of military equipment that for decades was the standard for American ground troops. The unique concept is based on cooperation: each soldier carried one canvas tent half, three pole sections and five stakes. Only when two soldiers combined their gear and tied or pressed the halves together did a full two-person tent emerge.

Estimate:£6.77
