United States - Signal Corps/Transmissions - Military equipment - 1951

Beautiful lot of six (6) original heavy canvas carrying straps, type ST-19-A Carrying Straps, as used by the U.S. Army Signal Corps (the communications troops). This iconic model was developed during World War II and mass-produced during the Korean War for carrying heavy field radios, field telephones, and cable reels. One of the straps features the original, extremely rare factory paper label from the well-known maker Boyt Co., dated December 1951. Three of the six straps bear the clear black ink stamps "ST-19-A"; on the remaining three, the imprint has faded or is not visible due to storage or manufacturing variations. All six straps are identical in weaving, material, buckles and the metal hooks (barrel hooks) and are 100% military original. • Quantity: 6 pieces • Type: ST-19-A General Purpose Carrying Straps • Manufacturer: Boyt Co. (1x labeled) • Material: iron alloy hardware + textile • Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Fully functional with smooth canvas and working hooks. See the photos for a proper impression. • Shipping: Will be packed with utmost care and shipped with tracking.
