Large 8vo, brown morocco leather, wide gold lace with small ironwork, spine adorned with a repeated floral motif, interior lace, lining and endpapers of gold-leaf paper decorated with repeated bird motifs within a latticework pierced with diamonds, gilt edges, cover (contemporary binding). First edition. First volume of the author’s two-volume set on women’s fashion accessories, published one year before *L’Ombrelle*… (1883). A lovely copy, printed on vellum paper, in an unsigned morocco leather binding with lace trim. A few foxing spots.
