Val Saint Lambert - Charles Graffart - Candleholder Griffons (2) - Glass

Two Art Deco candelabras 'Griffons' designed by Charles Graffart for Val Saint Lambert and first listed in the 1913 catalog (see illustrations). The base is formed by four griffins. The design has several (slightly updated) versions, both in details and in the satinized (frozen glass) components. Both candelabras offered are identically satin-finished. Both candelabras are equipped with appliques with six prongs in the shape of ice crystals. This makes the candelabras more spectacular, but they can also be removed. These over-100-year-old candelabras are in good to very good condition. One small shard on one of the feet of one of the candelabras (see photo).
