Val Saint Lambert – Heavy hand-cut crystal table lamp with new bespoke lampshade – Belgium – ca. 1950–1970 An impressive and exceptionally heavy Val Saint Lambert hand-cut crystal table lamp, crafted in Belgium during the mid-20th century. Renowned worldwide for its outstanding crystal quality and masterful craftsmanship, Val Saint Lambert has been producing luxury crystal since 1826, supplying royal households and prestigious interiors throughout Europe. This elegant lamp features a beautifully proportioned baluster-shaped body, richly decorated with deep hand-cut diamond, cross-hatched, and elongated prism cuts. The massive faceted foot perfectly complements the body, while the brilliant lead crystal creates a spectacular play of light and reflections. The lamp has recently been professionally restored with a completely new electrical fitting and is fitted with a new custom-made black fabric lampshade, offering the perfect balance between timeless Belgian craftsmanship and contemporary interior design. It is ready for immediate use. Condition Very good vintage condition. The crystal remains bright and clear with only minimal signs of age consistent with careful use. The electrical fitting and lampshade are both new.
