Val Saint Lambert - Hubert Fouarge - Drinking service...

Beautiful crystal Art Deco glasses from the Verreries de Val Saint Lambert. Glasses from the 1904 catalog with a complex hand-cut pattern (as in the HB lines) belong to the so-called Taille Riche crystal. They are made of heavy lead crystal (often up to 33%-40% lead content), giving them exceptional light refraction and the iconic, clear ring when tapped. In those days these services were offered in fully clear crystal as well as in doublé (overlaid with a colored layer of glass and then ground). This type of early, well-documented glass is highly sought after among collectors of antique Belgian crystal. Packed with care, insured, shipped with tracking.
