Val Saint Lambert - René Delvenne - Vase - Crystal - Model: "CONRAD" 1961

The vase "CONRAD" was designed by René Delvenne in 1961 and was made by the famous Val Saint Lambert crystal factory in Belgium. This tall, elegant vase has been diamond-cut and crafted by a talented artist who had an eye for beauty! The emerald-green diamond shapes are linked together to form rows of cheerful "flags" from top to bottom. The base of the vase has four carved notches, creating an interesting and very sturdy foot. The vase is blown with clear crystal, after which a layer of emerald-green crystal is applied, which is then ground back to create the final design. This doubled crystal process was perfected by Val Saint Lambert and used extensively. Crystal from this famous factory has a high lead content of 33 - 40%, much higher than the legally required 24%. This extra lead content gives the product extra brilliance and clarity. The Conrad vase stands 26.5cm. high, 12cm. diameter with a base of 7.5cm. The top edge of the vase measures 1cm. The base is signed "Val St. Lambert" and a factory sticker can be seen on the front of the vase. The vase is in MINT CONDITION! Careful packaging will ensure a safe delivery.
