Um 1945 Öl auf Leinwand, auf Hartfaserplatte Gerahmt 26 × 35 cm Provenienz: Privatbesitz, Schweiz Literatur: Paola Tedeschi-Pellanda/Patrizia Guggenheim, Varlin. Werkverzeichnis der Bilder, Zürich 2000, S. 103, Nr. 470.1 (mit Abbildung) Leinwand etwas zu restaurieren. In einem Brief Varlin an Max Eichenberger von 1945 schrieb der Künstler, er sei dabei, das Palace Hotel in Montreux zu malen. In einer undatierten Bilderliste Varlins für Arnold Rüdlinger anlässlich der Ausstellung in Basel 1967 sind "7 Bilder in Montreux gemalt" und "15 Bilder im Besitz der Stadt Zürich" verzeichnet.
