Bring the colorful elegance of the 1960s and 1970s into your interior with this stunning set of two hand-blown art glass decorative bowls. These objects are crafted according to the iconic Sommerso technique, where different layers of colored glass gracefully flow into one another without mingling. The flowing, organic forms are representative of the best glass design from the Mid-Century Modern era (think of designs by Josef Hospodka for Chřibská Sklárna or the masters of Murano). Features of the set: The Long Oval Bowl: A dynamic, wavy design. The core glows in a deep fuchsia pink, surrounded by a warm amber glow and captured in clear, thick-walled crystal glass. The Star-shaped Bowl: A more compact, flower- or star-shaped vide-poche with gracefully raised points. Executed in a mysterious and chic color combination of bottle green and amethyst purple. Thanks to its substantial weight and flowing lines, these bowls catch and refract incoming light in a fabulous way. They are perfect to use as a sculptural centerpiece on a sideboard, as a luxury bonbon bowl, or as a stylish 'catch-all' for your finest accessories. Specifications Object: Set of 2 decorative bowls / vide-poches Period: Approx. 1960 - 1970 (Mid-Century Modern) Material: High-quality, heavy mouth-blown art glass Technique: Sommerso (free-formed) Color palette: Fuchsia, Amber, Bottle Green, Eggplant Purple and Clear glass Condition: In excellent vintage condition. The glass is completely clear, without deep scratches, cracks or chips. Only minimal, normal signs of aging (slight wear marks) on the underside of the stand ring, which confirms authenticity and age.
