An elegant antique French porcelain spill vase (vase-à-tison / portallumette), crafted in the renowned "Old Paris" (Vieux Paris) style during the second half of the 19th century (circa 1860–1880).The vase features a distinctive cylindrical body with a flared, crimped/scalloped rim, resting on a tripod base with scrolled feet. It is beautifully decorated with a monochrome bat-printed (transfer-printed) pastoral scene depicting a young woman in classical attire leaning against a tree within a lush landscape featuring palm trees.The rim, mid-section bands, and the detailed tripod base are heavily highlighted with thick, burnished gold gilding, a signature characteristic of fine French porcelain from this period.
