Vase - Ceramic

Sculptural lacy ceramic vase - Fat Lava Style - Vallauris, France - Circa 1960/1970 Superb and significant art vase in glazed ceramic, characteristic and sought-after production from the Vallauris workshops (South of France), dating from the 1960s/1970s. This piece fits perfectly into the modernist and expressive trend of the Fat Lava movement. It stands out for a free, asymmetric and decidedly sculptural form, enhanced by organic perforated openings on the ceramic walls. The glazing work is remarkable and highly visual: on a deep chocolate-brown background, there unfold magnificent expressionist drips overlaid in vibrant fuchsia pink and textured speckled white, offering a striking contrast. Marking: The piece bears the handwritten inscription “Vallauris” under the base, manual signature (see photo). • Origin: Vallauris, France • Period: 1960s - 1970s • Style: Mid-Century Modern / Fat Lava / Ceramic art • Material: Glazed ceramic with flowing glaze • Condition: Very good condition The object will be packed with the greatest care
