Vase - Porcelain - China - (Baizitu) Vase-playing (No reserve price)

A fine Chinese Famille-Rose vase of the Baizitu type depicting playing children (Hundred Boys) China, late Republic period to late Qing tradition (20th century), with an apocryphal six-character mark of the Kaise. Dimensions: height 20 cm, diameter 9 cm Material: porcelain, fine enamel painting over glaze (Fencai / Famille Rose) Form: cylindrical goulash vase (Bangchuiping) with a curved mouth Mark: red brick-seal “Da Qing Jiaqing Nian Zhi” on the bottom Description This elegantly proportioned vase form is decorated on the cylindrical body circumference with a lively scene of playing boys (Baizitu / Hundred Boys). In fine, multicolored enamel painting of the Famille Rose palette, the composition shows various boys in lively poses – carrying lanterns, making music, and playing outdoors. On the reverse there is a poetic inscription in black calligraphy: 頑童千姿態 垂鈞樂天真 (“In a thousand gestures of carefree innocence – the pure innocence of childish joy”) The motif of playing children is among the most beloved auspicious symbols in Chinese art and traditionally signifies child wealth, family happiness, and the blossoming of future generations. At the bottom there is an iron-red four-lobed or square seal in Lanting script (Zhuanshu), which bears the six-character mark of the Qing Kaiser Jiaqing. Overall condition: Excellent, in superb age-appropriate condition. Surface: No visible hairlines, chips, restorations, or mouth defects. Enamel: Colors fresh and well preserved with minimal authentic wear.
