Chinese Dehua Blanc de Chine Fanghu Vase with Lion-Mask Ring Handles ( No:2 ) Impressive and unusually large Chinese blanc-de-chine porcelain vase, made in Dehua, Fujian province, This elegant square-section fanghu vase is covered in a soft ivory-white glaze. Its archaistic silhouette has a flared square mouth, gently waisted neck and tapered square body. Two finely modelled lion-mask handles hold loose porcelain rings, a traditional symbol of prestige and protection. The luminous, subtly pooled glaze, carefully applied sculptural details and unmarked recessed base give the piece a refined and timeless presence. At 48 cm high and weighing almost 5 kg, it is a substantial and striking display piece for a Chinese porcelain collection or interior. Condition: perfect condition. No chips, hairlines, restorations or repairs observed.
