VAUCHEZ IN PARIS 18K gold (750) pocket watch, white enamel dial, black railway-track minute track, Roman numeral hour markers in black decals, gilded Louis XV-style hour hands. Hinged bezel decorated with engravings. Case back decorated with engravings, featuring a scene with a dog in the center. Mechanical movement with manual winding via key, balance cock with two screws (re-drilled), fusée-and-chain system, rosette for adjusting the rate, verge escapement, marked “Vauchez Paris 3051.” The watch was non-functional at the time of appraisal; there is no guarantee of future functionality or the condition of the parts. Scratches and dents on the case; the glass is missing; damage to the dial. Accompanied by its 18K gold chain (750 parts per thousand).
